Our Mission

Changing Lives is a Non-Profit Community Interest Company that increases physical activity in the community & prevents children from the involvement in anti-social behaviour and gang activity through sports sessions and social enterprise workshops.

Our Mission is to offer social, sporting and work experiences that will install confidence and motivation for children providing them with opportunities and pathways towards a positive future.

What We Do?

Our Community Mini-bus collects students from primary & secondary schools to attend our youth engagement centre until 6pm.

Although the Changing Lives (CIC) is newly registered, David and Ben have been working in partnership within the community for over 5 years.

Over the Past 6 months over 200 hundred children have either attended school workshops, sports camps or visited the CL Youth engagement centre.


Our Programmes

The Changing Lives CIC operates a variety of programmes that all work together in providing opportunities to young people towards a positive future. See our program descriptions below for more information.


Student Mentoring

Working within Schools to provide tailored mentoring programmes on a 1:1 or small group learning basis. The aim of the mentor is to offer school inclusion for challenging students, assisting them with classroom and work experience learning.

Youth engagement centres

Our Centres offer vulnerable children of all backgrounds and ethnicity a place to relax and participate in sports, mentoring & workshops after school. The community transport mini bus collects referred students from local schools to safely transport them to & from the centre.

Sports coaching & pathway opportunities

With the variety of partnerships the Changing Lives project has, sports coaching workshops is a key element in providing the hook and distraction away from every day issues our students face. Opportunities of further progression towards grass roots participation and elite pathways in sports are fundamental.

Educational Workshops

Our workshops include: Link Asset Service Risk & Reward, Essex Police crime awareness, NHS medical tuition, Mental health Scheme’s, Sports Officiating, College introductions & Qualifications.

“Hip Hop Pop has been teaching young people at Changing Lives in Harlow for five weeks. Over this period I have seen the young people improve their self-esteem, increase their ability to focus and take supported risks within the classes.
